Lens zoom
Magnify one spot and leave the rest of the frame where it is. Good for small text, a tiny control, or a number you want people to read.
The screen recorder for Mac that edits as you go
ScreenRecordii zooms in on every click, smooths your cursor and frames your screen on a wallpaper while you record. Hit stop, and it already looks edited.
Record
Pick a display, a window or any area. Your camera, microphone and the Mac's own sound come along. A countdown, and then you simply work.
Pause, restart or throw away a take from the floating bar. The recording is saved every two seconds as you go, so a crash doesn't cost you the take.
Auto zoom
Every click is logged as you record, so zooms land right where the action is and ease back out when you move on. Nothing to keyframe.
Want a second opinion? AI magic watches the whole take and picks the moments worth a closer look. Drag any zoom to change it, or set its size by hand.
Polish
A wallpaper, padding, rounded corners, a soft shadow and motion blur go on by themselves. Your cursor glides instead of jittering, and steps aside when it's idle.
Your camera sits in a bubble in the corner, or shares the screen in a split, and switches layout on cue. Every frame is drawn with Metal, so preview and export match exactly.
Edit
Your zooms, cuts and speed-ups are laid out and ready when you stop. Trim, split and drag. Every change shows straight away, and every one can be undone.
Features
The things that usually take an afternoon in a video editor happen as you record. Two of them are live below. Try them.
Magnify one spot and leave the rest of the frame where it is. Good for small text, a tiny control, or a number you want people to read.
Shakes are filtered out and movement is eased, so the pointer reads like a calm hand. Make it bigger, give clicks a ripple, or hide it when it's idle.
A camera bubble, a split or full frame, switching on cue. Cut out your background without a green screen, and let the bubble follow your face.
Transcribed on your Mac, then shown word by word. Delete a word from the transcript and the video cuts with it.
Keyboard shortcuts appear on screen as you press them. Long stretches of typing are spotted and sped up for you.
Cover anything with a blur, a solid block or a spotlight. Or let it find keys, tokens, emails and card numbers on screen, and follow them as they scroll.
Built-in wallpapers, gradients, colours or your own image, at any aspect ratio. Save a look as a preset and every recording starts with it.
Smart edits
Each one is a click. Each one is an ordinary edit afterwards, so you can change it or undo it.
01
It notes the control you clicked, so the zoom frames the whole button, not just the pointer.
02
Reads the screen on your Mac, finds keys, tokens and emails, and blurs them as they move.
03
One marked-up screenshot per click, with what you said. As Markdown, a web page or a PDF.
04
Finds the dead air, where nothing moves and nobody speaks, and cuts it or speeds it up.
05
Fluffed a bit? Record just that part again. The new take slots in, with your edits kept.
06
Swap wandering mouse moves for one clean arc between clicks, with the timing kept.
07
Number every click at once, or add labels, boxes and arrows that follow the zoom.
08
Your logo, colour and font, intro and outro cards and a lower third, in one click.
09
A README GIF, a Slack clip, a vertical video with captions, or 4K with chapters.
10
Chapters, a title and a summary, written from what you said and did, ready to paste.
Export
Pick where it's going and the size, frame rate, captions and sound are set for you. Or copy it straight to the clipboard and paste.
Privacy
Recording, editing and export happen on your Mac. There's no account and no upload. The two AI features ask first, every time it matters.
Projects live in your Movies folder, one package per recording, with the original files kept untouched beside your edits.
Captions are transcribed and secrets are found with your Mac's own speech and text recognition. Nothing is sent anywhere for either.
AI magic and AI chapters send still frames and timings only after you say yes. What you type is never sent, and your key stays in your Keychain.
A Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later. The first time you record, macOS asks you to allow screen recording, and the camera and microphone if you use them.
Yes. Recording, editing, captions and export all run on your Mac. Only AI magic and AI chapters go online, and only when you use them.
All of them. Drag a zoom to move it, pull its edges to change when it starts and ends, set its size or aim it by hand, or switch it to a lens. Undo works on everything.
Yes, along with your microphone and camera, each on its own track, so you can set their volumes separately afterwards.
It's in early access, which is free. Pricing will be announced before launch.
